Cathy Found Her Essential — and Helped Us Improve Our Game
Sometimes, great stories don’t start perfectly — they start with a small hiccup.
Our story with Cathy Stam is a perfect example.
Cathy, a dedicated pickleball player and team organizer, ordered several shirts from our pickleball collection for her 65–80 year-old team, looking to unify their look for an upcoming tournament.
The excitement quickly turned into frustration when she received her order in two separate boxes with an incorrect count: "I received 2 packages... but there were only 2 small shirts in one package and 2 medium ones in the other package!!" she wrote, rightfully angry and needing the correct gear fast.
We jumped in right away — tracked the missing items, made it right, and followed up personally to ensure everything arrived. Within days, Cathy had the full set in hand — and what began as a mix-up turned into a 5-star experience.
Then, Cathy shared her thoughts with us. She chose our "Funny Pickleball Friends" shirt because, as she told us, "It perfectly captures our team's attitude. We may be 'hard-core players,' but we're friends first. The design was the only one that felt like it was built for a crew, not just for an individual player."
The apparel clearly brought some good juju, as Cathy later wrote to us, "Out of 24 teams we came in 9th place. It was hard-core players and we're all 65–80 years old. YAY US"
